Close City

This 10 song album, released in July 2022, was recorded partly in Syracuse, NY and partly in Guadalajara, MX. It’s a great source of pride that I was able to write, record, mix and master the album on my own (and it’s the very first release for which I can say that). The album also features many wonderful lyrical and musical collaborations. Germaine Shames is the lyricist for the first track “Hear The World’s Heatbeat”. Thomas Gomez is the lyricist for “Stay”. My friend Amber Westerman co-wrote “A Thing Like That”. My friend Erik Sargent played and recorded live drums on “Calm After The Rain”. And Egemen Sezen, working out of Turkey, wrote and recorded a beautiful trumpet arrangement for “Take Me There”. My daughter Alexia sang the intro vocal riffs on “Hear The World’s Heartbeat”. The primary cover art was done by a talented young illustrator Krizmy in the UK.

You Melt Me

I produced this single up in Syracuse, NY, while I was taking a Sound For Picture class, so you may hear a lot of foley noises integrated into it (like ice cubes doing various things). Thanks to Carly Eaton for contributing her vocal overdubs. And the charming cover art is by my daughter Charlotte.

Stay With Me

I originally wrote this song for my parents’ wedding anniversary, recorded it on my iPhone while living in an apartment in Merida, Mexico, and published it as a video on YouTube. This production is a little more studio-polished and adds a second verse and chorus to round things out.

Lighthouse

This single is the first of 12 songs that I recorded in Syracuse, NY during the 2019-2020 academic year at Syracuse University. Kyle Swigert is responsible for all the gorgeous acoustic guitar tracks, and Erik Sargent recorded the drums (although I later spliced them up).

Wish I Could Want You

My father in law, Stan Gedzelman, wrote the main lyrics for this song while we were hanging out together in Florida, and I wrote a song around them. Later that year up in Syracuse, Luther Masanto suggested the lyrics and music for the bridge. The cover art is by orangedewss, a talented young artist in the UK.

This 4 song EP was recorded at 423 Studios in Mérida, Yucatan, Mexico during the first half of 2019. Sergio Aguilar was the producer, session guitarist and mixing engineer. “Come Alive” was co-written with Anna Renee Roberts. “When I Go” features Franklyn Brooks on trumpet and Rodrigo Uribe on drums. “Don’t Kiss Me” features Danny Galaz on drums.

Just Enough

This 12 song album was recorded during the first half of 2018 in San Mateo, CA in a combination of my home studio and Broken Horn Studios. Will Mandell was the producer, session guitarist and mixing engineer on selected tracks, and mastering engineer on the full album. Lyrics for “Sell Your Love” by Zoë aan de Wiel. Lyrics for “Too Much Reality” by Germaine Shames.

The Songs Of Angels

This single was a collaboration with Stanfield Major, a prolific lyricist. It was recorded in 2018 at my home studio, mixed by Rob Murray and mastered by KRAMER at Noise Miami.
